Resonant Body Continuum

The Art of Sacred Embodiment

EXPERIENCE is what our body is designed for. Movement is what emerges from the impulse of sound. This is our primordial language. Let’s get fluent…..

For thousands of years, we humans have been corralled into our brain, particularly the left hemisphere. This push up and to the left has culminated in the world wide adoption of AI based knowledge and “reasoning” systems, resulting in the atrophy of our innate intuition and thinking ability.

Along with shaming the body and making the natural energetics of our body taboo, this left brain emphasis has resulted in an epidemic of self loathing, confusion, disembodiment and hyper control. We have become intensely rational, analytical, objectifying ourselves, each other and the planet. We’ve taken this very far and are witnessing and experiencing extreme dissonance in every sphere of life.

Conception is not experience. It does not yield the same quality of knowledge. Human life involves immeasurable and unquantifiable terms of engagement. Our body is architected to experience Love in all its mystery, complexity and bewildering dimensions. This is not necessarily a verbal or thinking process exclusively. This is a whole being symphony with no score. We are improvising every moment, and yet, our body knows the movement of love.

There are challenges to sacred embodiment, particularly in a field of intense cruelty, violence, repression and dominance. Determining our felt sense of safety within our body can often be a very long process, so we move slowly, step by step. We decide our pace, our titration of sensation. We thaw…..we let go just a little of a deep grip somewhere in our tissues….breath caresses our tender places, tears flow. We discover a bit more internal space….we soften…we arrive.

We return to the movement of life, to ease in our breathing, in our being, in our loving. We land, here in our body, presence imbuing each moment.

In the documentary above, I share the art of Continuum, an exquisite process of exploration and play with profound possibilities. It is an art of Sacred Embodiment and a medicine for our bodies and souls. Moving as Love moves is organic, nourishing, healing, ecstatic. No matter your age or previous somatic explorations, it is time to deepen into your Resonant Body.
